Four Leadership Appointments at A*STAR

This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on March 20, 2009 at 3:51 pmThe Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) announced four new leadership appointments that would take effect from April 1, 2009. With the new appointments, A*STAR will be well-poised to further strengthen its scientific capabilities and foster cross-council collaborative research to drive the transformation of Singapore into a knowledge-based innovation-driven economy:
- Professor Sir George Radda will become the Chairman of A*STAR’s Biomedical Research Council (BMRC). This will be on top of his responsibilities as Chairman of the Singapore Bioimaging Consortium (SBIC) and his role as the Chief Scientific Advisor to A*STAR’s Cross Council Office;
- Professor Low Teck Seng will become the Deputy Managing Director (Research) of A*STAR;
- Dr Alex Matter will become the Chief Executive Officer of the Experimental Therapeutics Centre (ETC); and
- Professor Sir David Lane will become the Chief Scientist of A*STAR.
