The first distributor of this product in the country
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on March 17, 2009 at 3:40 pmArrow Enterprise Computing Solutions‘ DNS Arrow group has been chosen as the first U.K. distributor to be accredited for IBM’s XIV. The agreement opens up DNS Arrow to a new generation of storage customers.
XIV, which was officially launched in Europe in September 2008, is IBM’s next-generation high-end open disk storage system. The new solution enables companies to strip away a multi-tiered information lifecycle management based storage approach and keep all information on a single low cost device.
"The XIV solution will help distributors and partners to work with new customers to deliver savings on power consumption, infrastructure and operational costs. DNS Arrow has continually been a leading distributor for IBM and we are pleased to work with them as the first U.K. distributor," said Greg Scorziello, director of XIV business, IBM, Northeast Europe.
DNS Arrow has been working closely with IBM throughout the early adoption scheme for XIV. It is the first distributor to have a demonstration unit that will help resellers and their customers see the simplicity of the XIV and its immediate benefits.
"XIV is an outstanding product and DNS Arrow has been working closely with IBM to ensure that the product gets off to a flying start," said Lindsay Nichol, divisional director for IBM solutions at DNS Arrow U.K. "We have everything in place to deliver quality, efficiency and added value right from the beginning."
DNS Arrow is a specialist information technology distributor providing enterprise-class solutions and services focused on data storage, network security, enterprise software, virtualisation and access infrastructure.
