As a result, Databarracks is able to improve its service to clients and enable more customers to benefit from the inherent advantages of highly reliable, high-performance NetApp storage. NetApp provides the storage backbone for Databarracks service offerings, which range from fully managed online backup through to hosted SAN replication and disaster recovery, in both physical and virtual environments. Since the installation of NetApp storage infrastructure over a year ago, the company has enjoyed zero downtime across all of its systems. The Databarracks NetApp infrastructure now comprises approximately 350TB of reliable disk storage.
Peter Groucutt, Managing Director at Databarracks, said: “2008 brought huge growth for Databarracks and 2009 is already shaping up to be a record year for our managed online back-up and virtual disaster recovery services. With the speed of business today, it is simply not acceptable to have a delay in the return of data to our customers, and NetApp helps provide recovery times for our service that are amongst the fastest in the industry.”
Jeremy Moeder, IT Manager at Aegis and client of Databarracks, said: “After all our staff had lost access to their accounts I needed Databarracks to perform a full restore of our Email server and I was very impressed with the speed of their service. Databarracks’ engineers had our data ready to be restored to our systems when I finished building our server. I am happy to continue trusting our daily backups to them as I know they only use cutting-edge and the most reliable technology on their systems.”
Nick Thurlow, vice president of Sales, EMEA, NetApp, said: “Data backup and disaster recovery are often mission critical for many organisations. NetApp is proud to be able to support Databarracks in its quest to provide its clients with an outstanding customer experience with storage solutions that are fast and efficient and secure.”
