Coraid Joins VMware Technology Alliance Partner Program

Enabling VMware ESX 3.5 hosts to work natively with EtherDrive storage

CORAID, Inc., makers of EtherDrive SAN solutions, has joined the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program. The VMware TAP program helps technology vendors integrate their products with VMware virtualization software and deliver timely, joint solutions to mutual customers.

"We are excited to welcome CORAID as the newest member of the VMware TAP program," said Bernie Mills, senior director, alliance programs, VMware. "The VMware TAP program offers companies like CORAID the tools and resources they need to develop high-value solutions that meet the needs of our mutual customers."

"By enabling VMware ESX 3.5 hosts to work natively with EtherDrive storage, VMware users now have access to an affordable fast SAN storage choice that other virtualization environments are already enjoying," said James Kemp, CEO of CORAID. "Affordable fast SAN storage is a highly effective way to take full advantage of VMware Infrastructure features like VMotion, and CORAID’s EtherDrive products can support these features in a uniquely affordable way. Adding CORAID’s storage virtualization appliance to the SAN in conjunction with VMware VMFS cluster file system maximizes storage flexibility and data protection."

With more than 900 members worldwide, the VMware TAP program works with best-of-breed technology partners to provide them a comprehensive set of VMware technical and marketing services, support, tools and expertise to deliver enhanced value to joint customers.
