NewMedia Express in Singapore Integrates CM4all’s OnlineDrive

The grid computing company adds online storage solution.

CM-AG announced that NewMedia Express, an Asian hosting provider and member of Singapore’s National Grid (nGrid) has integrated CM4all’s OnlineDrive. NewMedia Express, founded in 2002, has serviced hundreds of clients in Asia. The company is further expanding into the Asian-Pacific region while forging stronger relationships and alliances with partners from all over the world.

CM-AG is one of the partners to help NewMedia Express to integrate premium value-added services to the newly formed nGrid platform. This platform, provided by several consortiums and driven by the Singaporean government, will activate on-demand access to high performance computing capabilities, software applications as well as storage capacity. It will greatly reduce the need of SMBs for upfront capital investment. Grid Computing will be more affordable to the masses as it is based on a pay-per-use model.

"Singapore is among the first countries to embark on such a national effort drawing together commercial grid service providers to offer pay-per-use access to computing, storage and software facilities. We are very proud to be one of the chosen service providers for this service. With CM4all’s OnlineDrive we can now offer a state-of-the-art online storage solution which will fit to our customers’ needs", says Alan Woo, CTO of NewMedia Express.

Users of CM4all’s OnlineDrive will benefit from a file manager, viewer and a sharing application with data center level of file protection. Users can store, access and edit their digital documents, music and photos anywhere in the world on any computer or device with Internet access.

In addition to a Web 2.0 file management system with familiar drag-and-drop operation, CM4all OnlineDrive provides value-added features such as an ActiveX uploader allowing fast upload of multiple image files or ZIP archives; a backup client for advanced file security and synchronization; an image editor; comprehensive file presentations; extensive file searching options as well as advanced file sharing and user management capabilities. Furthermore, CM4all Technology furnishes NewMedia Express with the advantage of being able to integrate additional third party applications, such as email. The software was first launched in English but the Chinese simplified language version will follow soon.

"It is very interesting to see the response to this innovative platform and especially to our service. We are looking forward to a successful long term partnership with NewMedia Express and would be pleased to provide additional value-added services running on the platform in the future," says Robert Schovenberg, CEO of CM-AG.

CM-AG’s award-winning CM4all Technology assures high scalability and performance with a minimum of required hardware, combined with tailored integration into existing systems, custom adaptation of system modules, comprehensive SLAs and 24/7 monitoring and ongoing maintenance.
