Tata Communications Expands Storage Services in Mumbai, India

Tata Communications, a communications provider, has expanded delivery capabilities for managed hosting and storage services in Mumbai and now has three sites (Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad) capable of delivering managed hosting and storage services in India.
 
In line with its growth and strategy plans to expand its data centre footprint and services capabilities across India, Tata Communications presently offers data centre services with colocation, managed hosting and storage services, along with virtualisation, database management, and other enhanced services, from state-of-the-art data centres in key cities across India. Globally, Tata Communications manages and operates 20+ data centres in key markets such as the US, UK and Asia.
 
The expanded Mumbai data centre, located in the Prabhadevi area, spreads across 66,000sq feet and provides a highly secure and resilient environment that is integrated with the Tata Communications’ high-capacity global backbone infrastructure to offer a full suite of network, data centre and value-added services to its multinational and India enterprise customers. In this way, the hotel management could stay focused on the hospitality industry, leaving network communications and IT infrastructure management to Tata Communications. By contracting with Tata Communications for its end-to-end managed hosting and storage solution, Lemon Tree Hotels implemented a streamlined, secure and scalable IT infrastructure solution eliminating the need to deploy large IT staff and channeling the IT resources to business priorities and reducing IT capital expenditures.
 
The services offered from Tata Communications’ global data centres are backed with aggressive service-level agreements and come with complementary services, which include MPLS, ethernet, IP connectivity services, managed security, hosted contact centre and content delivery network services.
