StoredIQ Expands eDiscovery Solution

With Symantec Enterprise Vault

StoredIQ, Inc. has expanded its eDiscovery solution to fully support Symantec Enterprise Vault as a recognized data source during the legal discovery process. StoredIQ offers Enterprise Vault customers access to a broad set of data sources in addition to the email archive, and it automates the previously manual tasks of collecting, processing and preparing responsive data for litigation review.

"Symantec Enterprise Vault customers will find StoredIQ’s solution a tremendous asset when they have to prepare for a legal matter," said Christine Taylor, analyst with Taneja Group. "StoredIQ can quickly and defensibly identify all responsive data across the entire enterprise where it natively resides, including within Enterprise Vault. In fact, StoredIQ provides valuable insight and analysis even prior to collection. Customers can then process this combined data within a single workflow. From there StoredIQ automatically generates load files for attorney review. This particular process is quite unique in today’s eDiscovery market."

"StoredIQ can significantly reduce cost, time, and risk that today’s Enterprise Vault customers may face when responding to eDiscovery requests," said Ursula Talley, StoredIQ vice president of marketing. "Instead of aggregating data from multiple sources, manually merging it with information from Enterprise Vault email archives, and spending hours in tedious review, Enterprise Vault users can now leverage the StoredIQ appliance to automate processing tasks, such as deduplication, and enjoy a much more complete eDiscovery solution."

StoredIQ offers an appliance that automates legal eDiscovery processes, optimizes storage, and provides proactive visibility and control to business-critical information that today is largely unstructured and unmanaged across the enterprise and across geographical locations. Companies can quickly and easily deploy the appliance in-house to crawl and collect active data on their network servers, storage systems and personal computers without disrupting end users. Using StoredIQ technology for topology mapping, classification and search, companies can rapidly target, collect, preserve and process potentially relevant documents with a legally defensible method, reducing legal risk while significantly saving collection, preservation and processing expense.

StoredIQ is a Symantec partner and member of the Symantec Technology Enabled Program (STEP). StoredIQ’s appliance will begin supporting Symantec Enterprise Vault as a data source late in Q1, 2009.
