More Rebate for Iomega Resellers
Being EMC Velocity Partners
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 6, 2009 at 3:56 pmEMC Corporation announced that EMC Velocity Partners who sell the Iomega StorCenter ix2 and the Iomega StorCenter Pro ix4 network attached storage (NAS) systems will now receive revenue credit of those sales toward their Velocity revenue requirements and will also enjoy a 5% quarterly rebate. This new program for Iomega NAS products provides Velocity Partners with an exciting new opportunity to enhance their profitability and expand their customer base with cost-effective, small business NAS systems for protecting and sharing data.
"Iomega is a global leader in smart storage solutions and the StorCenter ix4 and ix2 NAS devices offer our partners ideal entry-level NAS systems to address the SMB market at a price point they can afford," said Willem Hendrickx, Head of Global Channel Operations, EMC. "We built the program around the Iomega products to enhance Velocity Partners’ profitability in two ways; rebates that put money back into partners’ pockets, and revenue credit towards Velocity revenue requirements that can help partners more quickly achieve a higher tier with more benefits."
The dual-drive Iomega StorCenter ix2 NAS and the new quad-drive StorCenter Pro ix4-100 NAS represent today’s most advanced and easy-to-use network storage appliances for small businesses, remote offices and work groups. The ix2 and ix4 provide networked storage that easily integrates with existing infrastructure for expanded storage, file-sharing and backup of critical business data. The ix2 and ix4 both utilize EMC LifeLine operating environment software and suite of applications to protect business data and perform valuable business tasks above and beyond simple storage.
"Iomega network solutions for small businesses, work groups and remote offices represent a new opportunity for NAS EMC Velocity Partners that provide a win-win-win for the seller, the buyer and the channel," said Jonathan Huberman, President of Iomega and the Consumer and Small Business Products Division of EMC. "The ix2 and ix4 bring world class EMC security and storage technologies to small businesses at a price they can afford, and now Velocity Partners will have NAS solutions to sell to the entry level SMB market that count towards Velocity revenue requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for all of us and our partners at EMC."
"EMC’s addition of the program for Iomega StorCenter NAS products enables Velocity Partners to sell affordable NAS systems into SMB market for the first time," said Scott Look, Vice President, Infrastructure Technology Solutions Division Ingram Micro. "Partners now have an entry-level product that offers customers EMC’s world-class storage, security, backup and recovery software at the right price point to meet their requirements with a rich program wrapped around it."
"The new Velocity program for the Iomega StorCenter products strongly complements our VAR partners’ businesses," said Wendy Linsky, Tech Data vice president, Peripherals Product Marketing. "In a challenging economic environment, VARs need to take advantage of the best vendor program opportunities available to them to maximize the profitability of each sale. EMC recognizes that and has delivered a program that will help its partners grow."
