Rising Demand for i365’s Online Backup and Recovery

By law firms

i365, Inc., a Seagate Company, announced that rising demand for i365’s online backup and recovery offerings − EVault Software, EVault SaaS and EVault Managed Services − helped the company grow its law firm customer base by approximately 20 percent over the past twelve months. Hundreds of law firms in North America, including more than 30 firms in the AMLaw200 such as Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold LLP, McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP, Kilpatrick Stockton LLP, and Baker Donelson have selected EVault Data Protection solutions to satisfy their firm’s and clients’ stringent data security and compliance requirements. EVault also partners with the American Bar Association (ABA) to offer the more than 400,000 ABA members a special program to help meet their data protection needs.

i365’s EVault portfolio delivers flexible, integrated solutions to help customers meet a wide range of Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO). EVault backup and recovery solutions protect law firm and client data, making it secure, compliant and easily accessible. There are no tapes or physical transportation involved and only new and changed data at the file block level are backed up and automatically deduplicated, compressed, encrypted, and transmitted to highly secure, offsite vaults. Customers can easily access, manage and restore data through a simple web interface.

EVault’s data protection technology is patented to reduce storage footprint and network bandwidth requirements while ensuring end-to-end security and quick backups and recoveries. For online backup and managed services customers, the company has nine secure Tier III & IV SAS 70 Type II certified data centers throughout North America and Europe for offsite data protection.

Several law firms attest
to the benefits of being an EVault customer:

EVault allows us to protect growing amounts of firm and client data in a secure, efficient and centralized manner across our multiple offices in the U.S. and Europe. We get peace of mind as we also vault the data at our remote data center for business continuity in the case of a disaster," said Bob Franks, Network Manager at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP.

It’s not the backups that concern me. It’s how quickly I can restore. The EVault process is bulletproof,” commented Bob DuBois, IT Director at Devine, Millimet & Branch

Law firms’ reputations are built on trust and confidentiality so they want to know that their data is secure, protected and most importantly, quickly recoverable in case of disaster,” said Carolyn Crandall, senior vice president of corporate and product marketing at i365. “Since 1997, hundreds of law firms of all sizes have entrusted their firm and client data with proven solutions from i365 to protect electronically stored information. Our innovative technology, choice in delivery, deployment and management, exemplary services and support combined with nine global top-tier SAS 70 Type II data centers enables us to meet their stringent data protection and compliance requirements.”
