applications requiring larger than 1 kW of power. The company announced the appointment of Bob Longman, 59, as VP Engineering. Bob joins ACAL Energy from Plasmon Plc, and brings extensive experience of taking leading edge technologies to market. At ACAL Energy, Bob will direct and deliver the engineering stages of the company’s plan to exploit its ground breaking low cost fuel cell systems.
Bob Longman’s experience includes management roles at Tube Investments, where he worked on the manufacture of heat exchange systems for nuclear reactors, and PA Consulting, where he was Engineering Group Manager. As well as corporate research and engineering responsibilities, Bob has managed quality systems at several of his companies. Bob worked in Canada for a number of years before returning to the UK, and has a degree in Mechanical Sciences from Cambridge University.

This appointment comes on the back of the successful completion of a recent £3.3 million fund raising round.
