GrayHair Software Upgrades its 3PAR Storage System

GrayHair Software, Inc., provider of innovative solutions for business mailers, has announced significant upgrades to its IT infrastructure. The company’s 3PAR Utility Storage Infrastructure has reached the capacity of over 100 terabytes of data, which represents a 50% increase in capacity.

The highly-virtualized 3PAR S400 InServ Storage Server is one of several models that 3PAR offers. This family of storage servers leverages the InSpire Architecture to deliver simple, yet powerful and dynamically-tiered storage arrays. 3PAR recently introduced Thin Built In technology within its InServ family, an efficient ‘fat-to-thin’ volume conversion mechanism which can boost capacity utilization while maintaining service levels.

Two of GrayHair Software’s services making use of the over 100 terabytes of storage are MailTrak and MailTrak AQ. MailTrak is the industry leading, automated mail tracking solution that allows mailers to pinpoint the location of mail pieces from initial entry into the mail stream to the actual in-home delivery date. As part of this service, GrayHair stores client delivery data for years, which is a feature that no other company offers.

MailTrak AQ, GrayHair’s Address Quality suite of products builds on the company’s mail tracking expertise to provide leading-edge address change services. MailTrak AQ not only tracks 100% of your mail, but collects Address Correction Services (ACS) data to provide reporting on delivered and Undeliverable-as-Addressed (UAA) mail. As part of this service, GrayHair will accumulate, store, and forward ACS data for updates of user-managed files. This increased storage will allow GrayHair to support the data of not only current clients, but of all their future clients as well.
