Masaru Kamemoto President of Maxell Corporation of America

Made effective on December 1, 2008, Mr. Kamemoto succeeds Mr. Hideaki Numoto as leader of all North American operations for Maxell.
With 30 years of combined experience working within different organizations for Hitachi Maxell, Ltd., and Maxell Corporation of America, Mr. Kamemoto has held significant sales and management positions across the world.
Mr. Kamemoto joined the International Department of Hitachi Maxell, Ltd., in 1979, where he was responsible for sales in overseas markets including North, Central and South America. In this position, Mr. Kamemoto directed and negotiated all sales initiatives in Canada and Latin America leading to the global growth of Hitachi Maxell, Ltd.
During his tenure, Mr. Kamemoto has directed leading sales teams for Maxell divisions in Sweden, including the company’s Scandinavian operations. After several years in Europe, Mr. Kamemoto returned to Japan and was named Chairperson of Global Asia, responsible for Maxell sales subsidiaries in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Shanghai-making-up nearly one third of Maxell’s global territories. Later, Mr. Kamemoto was appointed General Manager of the Maxell Digital Pen division based in Japan.

Masaru Kamemoto was born in Nagasaki, Japan, and studied at Yamaguchi University where he earned a degree in Economics.
