DataVault Online Backup Service in Middle East

At an introductory price of $199 per month

DataVault, the remote online D2D backup service was introduced for the first time in the Middle East coinciding with the start of GITEX, the Middle East’s largest IT expo. Operated, Secured and serviced from Etisalat’s Data Center in Dubai, the service is now launched and has gone online as per company sources.

DataVault promises to offer a sure, secure and a safe way of handling and managing backups for SMEs and large enterprises. With its next generation of disk to disk, agent-less backup technology, now anyone can benefit from this service, right from an enterprise with a single user to companies with hundreds of users. “We are solving one of the biggest IT nightmares of proper, restorable, reliable backup of critical data, without having to shut down any of their systems”, said Azfer Nazir, CEO of DataVault. Today, IT managers are wasting valuable resources in doing menial jobs such as tape-backups, which fail most of the time, and adds to employee frustrations, he added.

With the service offering at an introductory price of $199 a month, DataVault expects a very broad level acceptance and adoption from the SME businesses. Its cost effective and does not eat into the capital expenditures. “Its like buying certainty and insurance for any eventuality at a very small monthly price. Today most businesses are highly vulnerable to various types of system failures and of critical importance is to put them back in business, restoring the systems, quickly and reliably” added Mr. A. Bakhrani, Founder & Managing Director of DataVault. He also mentioned that today’s statutory electronic data compliance require organizations to maintain their email and other electronic document records for as long as five to seven years, and this is the best way one can comply to these requirements.

DataVault service is based out of the Middle-East for the Middle-East businesses and this is a highly comforting factor for most organizations in the region. They are not relying on some service which is far away from our continent in the US or Europe. The buck stops here and the data is encrypted to highest 256 bit AES standards and no-one can decipher that data without the decryption key from the customer. So the usual problem of trusting someone with your data is completely repudiated.

DataVault is confident that it will resolve a major pain-area for a large number of IT managers, providing them the peace of mind they deserve. This Service will be appreciated by all levels of users, right from the C-level executives to the end-users who have no secure backup facility for their desktops/laptop data. The best alternative that users adopt today is personal USB drive backups, which are so gullible to hacks, loss and espionage. DataVault will solve these personal and corporate issues in a single, scalable and secure solution.

"IT managers have been longing for such a solution forever and they will quickly adopt the service as soon as they will be aware of it. Our biggest problem is reaching out and giving the information to these IT-Managers", quipped Mr. Nazir. "We are planning on a comprehensive marketing plan targeted to all countries in the Middle East."

DataVault is projecting an estimated 200 customers using its service in the first year of operations.
