Small Tree Unveils GraniteSTOR EasyAoE

Small Tree Communications, designer and manufacturer of networking and shared storage products for professional video and audio editors, will introduce its GraniteSTOR family of shared storage solutions at Macworld 2009. First in Small Tree’s GraniteSTOR product line is EasyAoE, an ATA over Ethernet protocol shared storage solution.

Designed specifically for audio/video editors and graphic artists looking for economical, functional and easy to manage shared storage solutions that are direct attached, Small Tree’s EasyAoE offers exceptional value and abundant features for shared storage needs.

Providing robust, consistent performance over Ethernet networks or directly attached to a server while offering optimal cost-efficiency, GraniteSTOR EasyAoE is a fast (greater than 500MB/sec), economical solution with two 10 Gigabit or six 1 Gigabit Ethernet connections with up to 24 hot swap SATA disks. Available in 4-, 16- or 24-drive configurations, GraniteSTOR EasyAoE can be used as either a JBOD or RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 with automatic global spares. Additionally, continuous testing fixes SATA disk ‘soft failures.’
