Second Generation of ZFS-based OpenStorage Solution

Nexenta Systems, Inc. announced NexentaStor 1.1. NexentaStor is the most broadly adopted OpenStorage network attached storage and iSCSI solution and has been used by over 4,800 companies worldwide to provide enterprise class storage via easy to use, hardware independent, ZFS based software.

Customers include InfoUSA, the leading provider of business and consumer information products, database marketing and processing services.

• Fault management for a broader selection of hardware platforms
• Active directory support that corrects many of the previous issues with OpenSolaris based Windows integration
• Easy to configure high availability
• An optional write once, read many (WORM) module which is useful for compliance
• An optional VMware storage management module
• Over 50 other enhancements and optimizations
• Turn-up and configuration services are also now available.

NexentaStor 1.1 is available for as little as US$4,490 as a part of integrated hardware / software solutions via partners such as PogoLinux in the United States, Broadberry Data Systems in the United Kingdom, Inprove Systems in the Netherlands, and TrustIT in Sweden.
