Simplified Licensing for Data Domain’s Partners by Bakbone

BakBone Software, Inc. has introduced a simplified licensing model for Data Domain‘s field and authorized channel partners. The new licensing model makes it simple for customers to buy and configure the solutions, as well as cost effective and easy for Data Domain joint partners to quote BakBone software for any Data Domain device or configuration. The two solutions are synergistic, with BakBone providing data protection software and Data Domain providing an efficient deduplication storage system. Customers can select a VTL option from either BakBone or Data Domain for a combined solution that is certified and field-proven at numerous customer sites.

Data Domain’s deduplication storage systems address a broad range of storage application workloads, including disk backup, archiving and network-efficient disaster recovery. By pairing BakBone’s NetVault: Backup data protection solution with Data Domain deduplication storage systems, organizations can efficiently address the full range of their data protection needs.
