Ram Appalaraju VP of Marketing at Isilon

Isilon Systems  announced that Ram Appalaraju has been appointed Vice President of Marketing to lead the company’s marketing and business development initiatives and to extend Isilon’s leadership in scale-out storage for the enterprise. Mr. Appalaraju joins Isilon Systems during a key period of growth and ascendance as enterprise businesses worldwide adopt scale-out storage solutions to drive a new class of file-based data applications and workflows. Mr. Appalaraju will report directly to Isilon’s Chief Executive Officer Sujal Patel.

Mr. Appalaraju most recently served as Vice President of Technology and Product Marketing at Azul Systems, a global provider of enterprise server appliances for transaction-intensive applications. Prior to joining Azul, Appalaraju served as a Vice President at HP, where he led the creation and execution of HP’s company-wide marketing strategy and execution of Adaptive Enterprise solutions for its top 200 global customers. Prior to becoming a Vice President, Appalaraju held multiple director-level positions at HP. Prior to joining HP, Appalaraju held managerial positions at Digital Equipment Corporation and GE.
