CyberLink Chooses FalconStor CDP

FalconStor Software, Inc. announced that CyberLink Corp., in digital multimedia on PCs and CEs, has deployed FalconStor Continuous Data Protector (CDP) to provide business continuity and disaster recovery of its Microsoft Exchange servers.

E-mail and collaboration are business-critical functions for CyberLink, and protecting their four Microsoft Exchange servers is a top priority and vital to the success of the company. CyberLink wanted a solution to address their challenges –data recovery taking 12 hours, with an equal amount of business downtime, and a dwindling backup window– and chose FalconStor CDP for its robust data protection capabilities.

Application Server Disks are mirrored in a synchronous manner to recover data in minutes. Since FalconStor CDP mirror disks are bootable, physical-to-virtual recovery can be accomplished through the use of a single, virtual server to recover multiple system and application servers. The open architecture of FalconStor CDP facilitated easy integration into CyberLink’s existing IT environment, without requiring any changes.
