Tandberg Bundles PresSTORE Software From Archiware With Tape Automation Solutions

Tandberg Data has entered into an agreement with Archiware GmbH to bundle its PresSTORE software with Tandberg Data’s tape automation solutions. PresSTORE is an award winning data management and data protection software solution for Mac users. It provides high performance, reliable backup and archiving, incorporating excellent data management and security functionality. The Tandberg Data and PresSTORE solution is now available from the Apple store and through Apple’s authorised reseller channel.

The Tandberg Data tape automation and PresSTORE solution offers maximum protection against data-loss. The unique bundle offers a complete data protection and data management solution, providing more storage capacity, more performance, more reliability, and more security in a customer friendly package.

PresSTORE
PresSTORE is based on the concept of an integrated data management and security solution. Data is managed throughout its life-cycle, from the moment of its creation, to the inevitable backups over to long term archiving. This offers maximum security, efficient management, and optimal engagement of resources resulting in a considerable reduction in costs. PresSTORE consists of three modules: PresSTORE Synchronize, PresSTORE Backup, and PresSTORE Archive that can be combined according to your requirements.

Tandberg StorageLoader and StorageLibrary
The Tandberg StorageLoader LTO is the ideal entry-level automated backup solution. It is a 1U autoloader that offers users a compressed storage capacity of up to 12.8TB, with transfer rates of up to 576 GB/hr. Removable magazines offer easy bulk loading and off site storage for disaster recovery.

The Tandberg StorageLibrary T24 is ideal for use in multi-server environments. It supports up to two half-height drives or one full-height drive. It easily scales from a 12-slot autoloader to a 24-slot library by simply adding a second magazine, offering compressed capacities up to 38.4TB and transfer rates of up to 1.7TB/hr.

The Tandberg StorageLibrary T40+ and T80+ are suited to fit in most midrange and enterprise storage environments. They offer compressed capacities up to 123.2TB and performance up to 6.9TB/hr (compressed). The Capacity on Demand (COD) feature allows users to easily increase usable capacity as their backup requirements grow. The Performance on Demand (POD) feature allows users to add up to 4 full height or 8 LTO Half Height drives.

Tandberg Data’s automated tape solutions with PresSTORE are now available from Apple and through Apple’s authorized reseller channel. The prices of these solutions start at ~$4000 for the StorageLoader LTO-3.
