First Reseller for Active Storage: Digital Partners

Based in Clayton, MO, Digital Partners Inc., an Apple reseller for businesses across the U.S., is now the only reseller of Active Storage XRAID hardware, the high-speed storage solutions for Apple platforms. The announcement was made in coordination with Active Storage’s debut of its storage products, the first non-Apple storage solutions that are Apple-native right out of the box.

"We are very excited to be on the ground floor of the Active Storage product rollout," said Matina Koester, president of Digital Partners Inc. (DPI). "It is obviously a testimony to our commitment to our customers that Active Storage has given us first-day access to the products and made us its only platinum-level reseller."

Active Storage was founded by Alex Grossman, the former senior director of hardware server and storage at Apple and the Active Storage’s employees include the team that drove development of the Apple Xserve RAID products. It is introducing the Active Storage XRAID, a powerful and compact high-availability RAID system delivering up to 16TB (terabytes) of storage in stylish chassis occupying only three units (3U) of rack space.

The Active Storage XRAID offers simplified setup and management using a suite of native Mac OS X-based utilities. "These products work with Apple systems right out of the box," Koester said. "Unlike other products available for Macs, they are not just reworked Windows RAID systems. They have been designed from the ground up by the most experienced Apple storage team in the business."

As Active Storage’s only platinum reseller, DPI will provide the kind of support for the products its customers have come to expect on everything it sells.
