EMC at Gitex 2008 in Dubai

As leaders in information infrastructure solutions, EMC will utilize its presence at the largest regional IT exhibition to announce its latest storage and enterprise content management technologies and innovative solutions. On the storage front, visitors to EMC partner Dell’s stand will have the opportunity to gain a firsthand understanding of the recently launched EMC CLARiiON CX4 Series of midrange networked storage systems. EMC professionals will be on hand to demonstrate how the advanced CX4 system offers comprehensive support for virtualized environments with expandable Fibre Channel and iSCSI connectivity and advanced data protection. In addition, customers will have the opportunity to learn how the CX4 next-generation architecture lowers costs and energy use through innovative technologies such as flash drives, unique UltraFlex technology, and virtual provisioning.

The MDS stand will also feature the latest EMC Back Up Recovery and Archiving solutions and will demonstrate source based de-duplication with EMC Avamar technology to show customers how backup windows can be shrunk to a fraction of traditional values thus saving time and money; customers will witness how 1 TB data can be backed up over 1 Mbit network within minutes.
