HDS in SSD With Transcend? And HP with STEC? And LSI for Controllers?

According to an inside source of the company, HDS will launch in several weeks enterprise SSDs coming probably from Taiwanese manufacturer Transcend Information, Inc. We remark that this firm currently delivers only 2.5-inch IDE and SATA SSDs, and no one with SAS or FC interface.

A representative of HP told us that SSDs from STEC, and probably from another company as a second source, will be added to EVA next year.

We also learned from a reliable source that LSI will enter into SSDs in 1Q09 with its own controllers.
