Another Alliance for Quantum, This Time With Index Engines

Index Engines announced a solution alliance with Quantum Corp. that combines the Index Engines indexing technology with Quantum’s tape automation products to allow fast and easy exploration of backup and archive data for legal discovery. This combined solution changes the way organizations can access, explore and use their already stored secondary data.

Index Engines’ patent-pending indexing and extraction technology integrates with Quantum’s Scalar tape libraries and makes backup tapes discoverable without the need for restoration. Index Engines Tape Engine integrates with Quantum products, adding the ability to query data in backup and archive formats. This joint solution enables the intelligent use of secondary data to facilitate electronic discovery.
