Marcus Schneider (Fujitsu Siemens) Director of the Board at SNIA Europe

The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) Europe announced that Marcus Schneider has joined its Board of Directors. In addition to working with his colleagues to steer and develop the association’s strategy and educational programs, Marcus will serve as the European liaison to the SNIA Solid State Storage Initiative (SSSI), launched on 22nd September at the Storage Developers Conference in San Jose.

Alongside his voluntary work for SNIA Europe, Marcus is Director Product Marketing Storage Solutions at member organisation Fujitsu Siemens Computers and is based at the company’s Munich office. Over the years he has held a number of positions in marketing and product management.

"I have witnessed first-hand the work SNIA Europe does and I have seen the positive difference it can make," said Marcus Schneider, member of the SNIA Europe Board of Directors. "No other organisation in EMEA offers such a wealth of high-quality, vendor-independent educational resources for data and storage professionals and I am looking forward to putting my industry experience to good use as the newest member of the Board of Directors."
