3PAR Expands in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Spain

With storage systems integrator Databasement

3PAR has further strengthened its presence across EMEA through a new channel partnership with storage systems integrator Databasement. Databasement delivers replication and restoration solutions to medium- and large-size organisations across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Spain. By partnering with 3PAR, Databasement has added utility storage to the list of solutions offered to its European customers.

"Due to the growth of its markets, Europe has become nearly as crucial a region as North America for many storage vendors," said Rob Christ, CEO for Databasement. "By offering the complete range of 3PAR’s highly virtualized storage array products in combination with virtualization offerings from vendors such as VMware, we are now able to address the increasing need for turnkey virtual datacentre solutions built on a smart, efficient, and agile storage infrastructure."

The partnership with Databasement is strategic for 3PAR, enabling the utility storage provider to increase its sales presence in EMEA while expanding into new European markets such as Spain. 3PAR has already introduced utility storage to several countries across Europe in which the company currently has either a direct or indirect sales presence. Partnering with Databasement has given 3PAR additional channels in the Netherlands and Belgium and has introduced utility storage to the Spanish market.

Under the terms of this partnership, 3PAR has agreed to provide Databasement with focused training to maximise the benefits of key 3PAR Utility Storage products — including the 3PAR InServ T-Class Storage Server with Thin Built In, 3PAR Thin Provisioning, and 3PAR Dynamic Optimisation — within next-generation datacentre environments.

"As we grow, we must continue to select partners that share our vision of a highly efficient datacentre where technical, financial, and environmental performance are second to none," said David Scott, President and CEO for 3PAR. "Databasement understands the disruptive nature of our technology and the opportunity with utility storage to drive a wave of consolidation much like server virtualization technologies have done with the server infrastructure."
