Sharma, President, Techmart and Anil Mahajan, CGC’s Head of Business Development at a joint press conference in Sheraton Hotel, Doha, on Saturday. Under the agreement, CGC will work closely with SanDisk’s distributor in Dubai, Techmart, Nokia’s original accessories and enhancements partner in the Middle East, to promote, support, market and distribute SanDisk products in Qatar through a wide range of retail outlets. SanDisk’s product portfolio includes flash memory cards for mobile phones, digital cameras and camcorders; digital audio/video players; USB flash drives for consumers and the enterprise; embedded memory for mobile devices; and solid state drives for computers.

SanDisk’s storage and flash memory products are globally recognized and widely used in mobile phones, digital cameras, MP3 players and other mobile devices that use removable storage cards to store digital images, video, music files and data. SanDisk has recently launched its new 32-gigabyte Extreme III CompactFlash (CF) card, which combines world-class storage capacity with fast data transfer rates. The new memory card is designed to meet the demands of professional digital videographers and photographers.

Tareq Husseini said: “The two companies’ relationship is in line with SanDisk’s strategy to offer easy access to the best products in the market for small business users, creative professionals and consumers. The expansion of our Mobile Ultra line is the first of many steps we are taking to drive the transformation of the storage market. And we look forward to a long relationship with CGC that will provide compelling opportunities now and in the future as we continue to grow our product line to offer more unique, innovative and differentiated solutions to the market.”

Speaking on the occasion, M. P. Sharma said: “It gives me immense satisfaction to see our partnership with CGC growing leaps and bounds. In association with SanDisk, we are determined to meet the increasing needs of Qatari market, which is full of potential and opportunity as far as memory cards are concerned.

Anil Mahajan thanked SanDisk and Techmart for joining hands with CGC in offering a vast range of world-class memory devices to the people of Qatar. He said: “It’s our privilege to partner SanDisk, the global leader and innovator in flash memory cards. We are very excited about this relationship, as it will give our channel more value-added choices to offer to our esteemed customers. Not only does our new partnership expand our portfolio of value-added offerings, it also serves as a great foundation for future collaboration and distribution of innovative solutions from SanDisk in the local market.”
