Dave Wong VP of Product Development for Bycast

With over 20 years of experience, Dave Wong is a seasoned innovator in the high-tech industry. Dave has an extensive background in Storage and Communications industries and has been involved in a number of industry forums (IETF, ATM Forum, etc.).
Previously, Dave was Vice President of the Enterprise and Storage Division at PMC-Sierra, a provider of broadband communications and storage semiconductors. In this role, Dave oversaw the development of several product families growing the design team to 100+, and helped coordinate the company’s successful entry into the Fibre Channel and SAS markets. Dave’s other positions at PMC-Sierra included Vice President of Product Development for the Wireless Product Division and Vice President of Product Development for the Optical Networking Division.
One of thirty founders of PMC in the early nineties, Dave was a technical leader at Packet Engines, a successful Gigabit Switch Router start-up that was acquired by Alcatel in late 1998. Dave has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and holds nine patents.
