Transcend With a new 2.5-Inch 64GB SLC SSD

Transcend Information Inc. announced the introduction of its all-new 64GB high speed SLC 2.5-inch Solid State Disk (SSD). The new Transcend SSD offers all the benefits of the solid-state technology (the reliable NAND flash memory that is not susceptible of mechanical failure as it has no moving parts), along with very low power consumption and ultra-fast data transfer speeds. The new SSD has been designed to fit the needs of both industrial systems and military applications.

"Transcend’s 2.5" SSD can be used in most notebook computers and mainstream PCs just like a regular hard drive. When it comes to performance, Transcend’s new SLC flash memory-equipped 64GB SSD offers data transfer rates that greatly surpass even the fastest 2.5" hard drives, delivering data read / write speeds of up to 119MB and 64MB per second, respectively. The integrated Error Correction Code (ECC) featured by Transcend’s Solid State Disk offers increased system integrity and highly reliable data transfer. Its wear-leveling algorithm ensures ultra-long storage lifespan and data-retention durability for prolonged use. As all SSDs, Transcend’s drive runs cool and generates no noise. The available capacities for this 2.5" Solid State Disk range from 8 GB to 64GB in both SATA and IDE versions.
