We had a very stringent set of requirements for an information management solution,” said Steven Killan, Enterprise Server Manager at James Hardie. “We wanted much better visibility into why our storage was growing so rapidly, we wanted to move as much data as possible off of our expensive primary data storage, and we needed to automate and enforce our information governance policies.”

StoredIQ was the perfect fit. Shortly after implementation, James Hardie was able to take advantage of the increased visibility that StoredIQ provided across their unstructured data, and for the first time, analyze content storage at a very granular level. Moreover, the organization was able to reduce the cost and risk associated with unstructured data, and enforce its records retention and deletion policies.

Innovative industry leaders, such as James Hardie, are intent on finding a proactive eDiscovery solution that integrates with records management policies, reduces storage, and allows a fast and assured response when the company is faced with legal matters,” said Ursula Talley, StoredIQ’s vice president of marketing. “StoredIQ was designed from the ground up to meet precisely those type of enterprise needs.”

StoredIQ offers an appliance that automates legal eDiscovery processes, optimizes storage, and provides proactive visibility into and control to business-critical information that today is largely unstructured and unmanaged. Companies can quickly and easily deploy the appliance in-house to crawl and collect active data on their network servers, storage systems and personal computers without disrupting end users. Using StoredIQ technology for topology mapping, classification and search, companies can rapidly target, collect, preserve and process potentially relevant documents, reducing legal risk while saving collection, preservation and processing expense.
