New Version of SQL Server Backup and Recovery System From Idera

Idera, a provider of management and administration solutions for Microsoft SQL Server environments, announced the availability of SQLsafe 4.8, the company’s SQL Server backup and recovery system.

New features provided in v4.8 include:

Real-time Alerting: Monitor backup and recovery operations and send alerts in the case of failed operation or missed backup Enhanced integration with Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM): — Groom backup files from TSM by marking them inactive, which allows TSM expiration processing to permanently delete them — Retrieve a backup file from TSM and copy it directly to disk making it easier to restore files across TSM nodes
