Imation Apollo Now at 500GB

Imation Corp. is among the first to introduce an external hard disk drive featuring a 500 GB 9.5 mm thick 2.5" HDD inside to its line of Apollo Portable Hard Drives. The sleek, compact and USB-powered 500 GB Apollo Portable Hard Drive is lightweight, stylish and extremely durable featuring a midnight-black brushed surface with chrome details. At just over a half an inch wide and weighing less than half a pound, the drive easily fits in the palm of your hand for convenience on the go.

The Apollo 500 GB Portable Hard Drive comes with the easy-to-install and easy-to-use Total Media Backup software. Accessible with both PC and Mac systems, desktops and laptops, the drive offers backup, schedule, synchronize and restore functions with just a quick click of the mouse and is preconfigured to backup all types of digital files. Like previous versions, the drive is USB powered and neither batteries nor an external power supply are required. A blue LED light shows when data transfer is in process to easily identify when backups are complete.

Imation’s family of Apollo Portable Hard Drives also includes 160 GB, 250 GB, and 320 GB capacities ranging in price from $89.99 to $169.99.
