Moonwalk Software Certified on HDS Content Archive Platform

To simplify management and migration of unstructured and inactive data

Moonwalk Inc., Australian developer of all-inclusive data management and protection software, announced that its
Moonwalk 6.0 Software has been certified for compatibility with the Hitachi Content Archive Platform, giving customers powerful new capabilities for managing the lifecycle of unstructured data across the enterprise.

The Moonwalk and Hitachi Content Archive Platform combination provides a single, integrated, solution for regaining control of the unstructured data. This turnkey solution can be implemented without the overhead typically associated with data management solutions, providing immediate benefits, such as massive reduction in primary storage, significantly reduced backup overhead and the management of data according to specific user-defined attributes. The Moonwalk 6.0 software is designed to transparently move content throughout the enterprise according to corporate policies and transitions the content to Hitachi Content Archive environment where it is secured and managed according to its lifecycle rules. Leveraging this combined solution, customers can expect to achieve immediate reduction on file system data on the order of 75 percent, depending on the policies implemented, delivering an immediate return on investment.
