KOM Networks and Total Tec Systems Partnership

KOM Networks announced that it has partnered with integrator Total Tec Systems to build, deliver and deploy KOMpliance Hard Disk e-WORM Archive appliances.

Total Tec will build the entire KOMpliance Archive product line using KOM Networks’ patented KOMworx technologies and HP ProLiant server and HP StorageWorks products. The KOMpliance Archive appliance offerings scale from small departmental deployments like the KOMpliance Workgroup Archive, to the KOMpliance Small Business Archive, while larger enterprises can leverage the KOMpliance Archive Server and the KOMpliance Archive Gateway for iSCSI & Fiber-Channel SAN environments. The integration will take place at Total Tec Systems’ Edison, New Jersey integration facility, an ISO9001 certified facility for server and storage integration. The combined solution will enable customers to simplify the deployment and operation of consolidated storage and take advantage of compliance-enabling features such as enforced file retention, secure data shredding, SHA-256 digital signatures for data authenticity and AES-256 encryption for security.

KOM Networks’ e-WORM (advanced hard disk archiving) solution transparently archives files to high-performance RAID arrays and other hard disks for long-term data retention. With KOMpliance, customers can simply integrate the solution into their existing environment with no user modification or system downtime. The e-WORM solution is designed to complement the HP StorageWorks portfolio and is fully compatible with Windows Server platforms and Microsoft’s storage technologies.

KOMworx e-WORM is also embedded in KOM Networks’ latest product, KOMworx Archive Appliance. Archive Appliance features the e-WORM and storage management capabilities of KOMworx software, with the reliability of HP ProLiant servers and the power and simplicity of Windows Storage Server 2003 R2.
