Martig will be responsible for finance and human resources functions, and brings more than 22 years of experience in finance, accounting and management to BlueArc. Martig takes the CFO reins from Mike Hasley, who will remain on board to ensure a smooth transition.

Martig comes to BlueArc from Genesis Microchip (now STMicroelectronics), a leading supplier of display image processors in the flat-panel TV and LCD monitor markets. At Genesis he served as the company’s CFO and senior vice president of finance. Previously, Martig spent 12 years at Xilinx, a worldwide leader in field programmable gate array (FPGA) solutions, where he served as the senior director of corporate finance and managed the company’s worldwide accounting organization. He was responsible for creating an internal compliance organization, and oversaw accounting operations in San Jose, Calif.; Dublin, Ireland; and Singapore. Martig also spent six years leading the business unit finance teams, working closely with all operational organizations at Xilinx during the high growth period of a multi-million to a billion-dollar company.

Martig is a graduate of the University of Santa Clara with a B.S. in finance and holds an MBA from St. Mary’s College.
