Michael Rowan is Back
The CDP pioneer left Incipient for a new software start-up, Viridity

Michael Rowan is mainly famous to have participated in the CDP (Continuous Data Protection) wave being the founder and CTO of StorageCom and Revivio (in 2001). StorageCom was acquired by Vyant Technologies and then now defunct Mendocino Software. Revivio was swallowed by Symantec in 2006.
He is the author of two patents:
- 7,272,666 – Storage management device
- 7,287,133 – Systems and methods for providing a modification history for a location within a data store
