Michael Rowan is Back

A real pioneer and innovator storage veteran, Michael Rowan recently left his consultancy role at Incipient to start a new software adventure since last January as CTO, Viridity Software (no website up to now), around power consumption optimization for IT data center.

Michael Rowan is mainly famous to have participated in the CDP (Continuous Data Protection) wave being the founder and CTO of StorageCom and Revivio (in 2001). StorageCom was acquired by Vyant Technologies and then now defunct Mendocino Software. Revivio was swallowed by Symantec in 2006.

He is the author of two patents:

• 7,272,666 – Storage management device
• 7,287,133 – Systems and methods for providing a modification history for a location within a data store
