Acronis CEO Walter Scott Named Finalist for 2008 CEO of the Year

Acronis Inc. announced that CEO Walter Scott has been named a finalist for 2008 CEO of the Year by the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council, Inc.

Acronis is one of the fastest growing global software companies in the state of Massachusetts. Under Scott’s tenure, the company has experienced a 150% year-to-year compound annual growth rate, with more than $100 million-plus in sales during the past year and operating margins of approximately 35 percent.

In June, the Mass Technology Leadership Council announced the first group of finalists of its annual Technology Leadership Awards recognizing outstanding achievement in both the development and deployment of information technologies that address critical business issues. The winners will be announced at the Fall Awards Gala on October 23, 2008 at the Sheraton Boston.
