Infortrend announced that its EonStor Fibre Channel (FC) host arrays have passed the VMware Hardware Certification Program, which verifies that the systems are fully operational within the VMware Infrastructure. This compatibility allows Infortrend customers to use VMware Infrastructure to help maintain and manage their storage assets by making the best use of existing storage; controlling growth and improving resource utilization and administrator productivity; streamlining and simplifying resource management; and building flexible, scalable network storage environments. VMware increases the efficient utilization of the RAID subsystems, which reduces energy use and directly benefits a company by cutting its energy bills and operating expenses.
Infortrend’s VMware-compatible FC-host arrays are available as a RAID head and 8-, 12-, 16-, and 24-bay subsystems that support FC, SAS, or SATA hard drives, providing enterprise-class storage solutions to suit a wide variety of computing environments.
