Swedish Firm Synkia Launches Free Phone Backup Service
For contacts, calendar appointments, tasks notes and SMS
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on June 7, 2008 at 4:04 pmThe Norwegian company Synkia AS – the leading provider of mobile phone backup services, has just released a new free phone backup service called MOBILESYNCHRO.
"In most cases mobile phones are the only place where people store their contact information. Handsets are replaced more and more often for many reasons so securing the data and being able to copy it to a new phone becomes very important", says Morten Sundstø, Chairman and founder of Synkia.
MOBILESYNCHRO reflects Synkia’s answer to the need for a free and safe place to store personal data. Although free, still MOBILESYNCHRO is fully secure and offers the most advanced phone backup service. Many consumers who want to have their mobile phone data secured don’t have advanced computer knowledge. MOBILESYNCHRO is simple, no cables or additional software is needed.
MOBILESYNCHRO clients get easy access to the following features:
- Free backup of all contacts and calendar events, tasks and SMS messages on the mobile
- Free online mobile content management via user friendly web application
- 100% secure storage and transmission between the server and mobile phones
- Synchronization of personal data with other phones and devices
"The idea of launching Mobilesynchro was to make mobile phone backup more accessible for a larger group of mobile phone users. We are now giving to all mobile users a backup service for free. I’m quite sure that soon mobile phone backup will become a standard in everyone’s life", says Mr Sundstø.
The MOBILESYNCHRO backup service can be used with any SyncML enabled handset, application or external service. The phone and the server are communicating Over-The-Air using any data transmission available to the device. MOBILESYNCHRO offers 100% safety for users’ data both during transmission and on its servers. Soon MOBILESYNCHRO users will be able to synchronize their mobile data with other services and desktop applications.
