NovaStor Partners With Digi-Data
To offer one-year free online storage up to 10GB with every purchase of NovaBACKUP 10
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on June 5, 2008 at 3:32 pmNovaStor, a provider of software solutions for data availability and protection, announces its partnership with Digi-Data Corporation, a provider of digital archiving and Internet storage solutions. The partnership brings to light best practices in critical data protection for both consumers and small and medium sized businesses. While backing up data locally is important, it is crucial to keep the most critical data online.
NovaStor’s recent release of NovaBACKUP 10 now features online storage as a choice in data protection. Users can select and schedule to have critical data backed up online. NovaStor is offering free online storage through Digi-Data to stress just how important it is to store data off-site in addition to onsite in the event of a disaster.
"More and more small businesses are seeing an increase in their volume of critical data," says Mike Andrews, Managing Director at NovaStor. "For many of these businesses, the loss of their data would mean the loss of their business. NovaStor is working to create an awareness that data needs to be protected locally and online to ensure business continuity."
Every purchase of NovaBACKUP 10 will include one year of free online storage provided by Digi-Data. Storage capacity is determined by the NovaBACKUP edition purchased. Editions of Professional, Server, and Business Essentials include 2GB, 5GB, and 10GB of free online storage, respectively. Additionally, trial users of the product will be able to store 1GB of data online for free for 15 days.
"Digi-Data is committed to the long term retention of high value digital assets," quotes Mitch Schwartz, VP of Sales for Digi-Data. "When combined with NovaBACKUP, we believe that consumers and businesses can finally minimize and even eliminate data protection concerns. Our services guarantee NovaStor SLAs will be unmatched in the Storage Utility market, along with Archiving and web services APIs for future services development."
