Infortrend Becomes Microsoft Certified Partner

Networked storage expert Infortrend Technology, Inc. has attained Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program, strengthening its competitive edge in developing networked storage solutions. Becoming a Microsoft Certified Partner is evidence of Infortrend’s expertise with Microsoft technologies and ensures that Infortrend will receive all the tools and resources available from Microsoft in order to enhance the storage management and data services it provides.
 
Infortrend’s industry-leading, cost-effective, high-performance EonStor RAID arrays support all storage interfaces and have been widely adopted by various industries worldwide. In early 2007, the company further enhanced its product line with the introduction of its proprietary storage management software suite SANWatch, which provides all functions necessary to easily and quickly discover, configure, administer and monitor EonStor subsystems. In addition to managing storage hardware, SANWatch also provides data protection capabilities such as snapshot via add-on data service modules, and EonPath multi-pathing software for increased availability and reliability. Further data protection features will be available in the near future.

Over 70 EonStor RAID subsystems have been certified by Microsoft Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) Testing and are listed in the Windows RAID category. Infortrend products that have received ‘Designed for Microsoft Windows Server 2003’ certification include:

• EonPath multi-pathing software for RAID
• EonPath multi-pathing software for multi-cluster RAID
• Microsoft VSS (Volume Shadow Copy Service) provides the backup infrastructure for the Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Server 2003 operating systems, as well as a mechanism for creating consistent point-in-time copies of data known as shadow copies. SANWatch snapshot includes the VSS provider that ensures data integrity and reliable backup in Windows-based storage environments.
