Expand Networks Expands in Russia

Expand Networks announced the opening of a new regional office and the appointment of Albert Katsir as Sales Director for Russia. This is the next step in Expand’s significant investment across the region to further develop its market reach and build upon its successful partner and customer channels.

Expand’s Compass Platform is already providing many Russian businesses with the application acceleration, WAN Optimization and Wide Area File Services they need to comprehensively overcome the latency and QoS challenges laid down by today’s distributed working environments. Expand has already sold into many financial institutions including one of the largest high street banks, and has also been particularly successful in the energy, gas and telecoms sectors with high-profile customers including SurgutNeftGAs, Dasvidania and Equant Orange Business Services. Expand’s increased presence across Russia will see the company further develop its customer base across all vertical markets.

At the helm of the regional office, Albert Katsir joins Expand from a RAD Group company where he held the position of Director of International Sales. In his new role as Sales Director, Katsir will oversee the next phase of Expand’s aggressive growth across Russia and will be responsible for day-to-day operations across the region.

Prior to the RAD Group, Katsir held senior management positions in organizations such as Shear Digital and Eurofis. With his 15 years of industry experience, Katsir brings with him a vast knowledge of vertical markets, having been responsible for large complex sales across many different sectors from carrier companies and governmental organizations through to multi-national enterprises. Katsir also has extensive ‘hands on’ sales and management experience having developed new channels of strategic distribution and leading strategic projects across the globe.
