Solid Data SSDs to Be Sold by STORNET
In Germany
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 21, 2008 at 3:43 pmSolid Data Systems, Inc., a provider of DRAM-based enterprise and carrier-class solid-state disk (SSD) storage systems, announced a new partnership with STORNET Technologies GmbH, a reseller in Germany with expertise in the areas of storage and networking solutions. As a value-added distributor with Consulting expertise, STORNET’s high-end solutions’ portfolio now includes Solid Data’s trusted SSDs, enhancing their position as a leading provider of end-to-end, best of breed solutions.
“More and more of our customers are realizing that they must go beyond the performance limitations of standard high-end disk arrays to maintain a competitive edge in the market,” said Alexander Krubasik, CEO of STORNET Technologies. “Solid Data SSDs have proven to be the most effective and easiest to implement solution for achieving peak application performance and are a mandatory component for our customers whose businesses are dependent upon having the fastest and most reliable access to their data.”
For those systems under extremely high transaction loads, application response times are greatly enhanced by removing the I/O bottleneck with SSD technology. Solid Data’s SSD systems store and retrieve data with a latency of less than 10 microseconds, making these appliances the highest performing external storage systems in the industry – 500 times faster than mechanical disk storage.
"Industry leaders such as Daimler and Deutsche Telekom have already benefited from STORNET’s knowledge and expertise in the storage market,” said Wade Tuma, CEO of Solid Data. “With STORNET’s core competencies in server consolidation, ‘Green’ IT and storage optimization, Solid Data is confident that our solid state storage products are well-represented in Germany and Europe through our new partnership.”
