Built with universal connectivity and speed in mind, the new DriveStation Combo4 comes equipped with four interfaces – eSATA, FireWire 400/800 and USB 2.0 – making it the most versatile hard drive on the market today.
DriveStation Combo4 is a stylish yet powerful addition to your work space or home office, designed for Mac or PC users who need a flexible connection and fast data transfer and throughput speeds. Backing-up and transferring larger files is quick and seamless, especially since the device is enhanced with Buffalo’s innovative TurboUSB software, which offers 20% faster transfer rates than most other USB drives on the market. It also incorporates a blazing fast 7200-RPM SATA drive.
The Combo4 also features Buffalo’s unique Heat Sink Chassis for effective internal cooling without the use of a fan. The result is whisper-quiet operation-important for those who keep their storage unit on their desk or in their entertainment center. The product measures 1.42 x 5 x 8.94 inches and weighs 3.09 pounds.
"As digital content becomes more prevalent in our daily lives and file sizes increase, users are looking for an all-in-one answer to backup and transfer their content more expediently," said Takayuki Nishioka, CEO of Buffalo Technology, USA. "Equipped with four common connectivity options fit for any computer environment, the new DriveStation Combo4 will satisfy the needs of any PC or Mac user by offering an all encompassing solution for transferring and protecting your important digital files."
The DriveStation Combo4 TurboUSB features a full version of Memeo AutoBackup software. For added security, it includes Buffalo’s SecureLockWare, which offers file and folder encryption for Windows users through 256-bit AES encryption technology. The DriveStation also comes pre-formatted out-of-the-box and no drivers are required, so set-up and installation are a snap.
Backed by a limited one-year warranty and toll-free 24/7 technical support, the DriveStation Combo4 is immediately available at estimated street prices of $149 for the 320GB (HD-HS320Q) and $189 for the 500GB (HD-HS500Q).
