The collaboration between Bycast and Pharos brings the combined strengths of Mediator workflow management and StorageGRID data protection to the broadcast industry. The Pharos Mediator broadcast workflow management system provides groundbreaking features for better end to end media management in broadcast, IPTV, interactive and mobile content distribution. The combined solution uses Bycast StorageGRID to extend Mediator’s broadcast workflow management leadership by including the preservation, protection and security of broadcasters’ media assets over multi-decade timeframes and across many sites. Bycast StorageGRID is the data preservation technology chosen for many multi-site regional archives spanning petabytes of data across many dozens of interconnected sites.
