VMPowered Joined Xiotech Channel Program

Xiotech Corporation announced that VMPowered joined Xiotech’s
new channel program as a VMware Value Added Consultant Referral
partner, effective March 1, 2008.

VMPowered, based in Circle Pines, Minn., is entirely focused on
helping companies move to a virtual IT environment, through virtual
server and storage design, implementation and post-sales support. The
company is a designated VMware Authorized Consultant (VAC) and VMware
VIP Enterprise Partner. Established in 2001, VMPowered has helped more
than 1,000 customers increase server and storage utilization, decrease
operational complexity, and reduce the total cost of ownership while
ensuring a greater return on investment on their technology
infrastructure. VMPowered works with end user customers directly and in
partnership with storage vendors such as Xiotech.

Xiotech recently announced a new channel partner program to support

VMware Value Added Consultants, like VMPowered, that have specific
storage virtualization and VMware technology expertise. This
specialization helps customers integrate Xiotech’s virtualized storage
systems in ways that maximize the effectiveness and value of their
virtual server environments. Knowledge of virtual environments will be
essential as Xiotech introduces upcoming features such as a new virtual
administrative view, which will allow VMware users to better manage and
automate their storage management operations from a single interface.
