Several Promotions in Europe at Seagate

For Jean-Louis Cazenave, Kevin O'Dwyer and Bernd Breinbauer

In a move to better serve its customers in both traditional and emerging storage markets, Seagate, the world’s leading hard disc drive maker, has reorganized its sales structure in Europe, Middle East and Africa with several promotions.

Jean-Louis Cazenave has been appointed executive sales director for South & East Europe and Global Accounts.

In this new role, Cazenave will have responsibility for the company’s sales in a number of key markets including France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and a number of other territories. He will also have responsibility for managing Seagate’s global accounts which are located in EMEA and will continue in his role as managing director of the company’s French office.

Prior to taking up his new role, Cazenave was responsible for Seagate’s OEM sales in EMEA. He will report to Jeff Loebakka, Seagate’s senior vice president and managing director, sales and marketing operations, for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Jean-Louis Cazenave has nearly 30 years experience in engineering and sales. He joined Seagate in 1996 from Conner Peripherals when the two companies merged. At Conner he held positions as distribution sales manager, corporate sales manager and sales director. Prior to joining Conner he worked in a number of different sales roles at Intel and Compagnie Générale d’Electricité (Cegelec). Since joining Seagate he has held positions as director of operations, senior director of distribution sales and, most recently, executive director of OEM sales in EMEA. Jean-Louis holds a PhD in electronics, electrotechnics and automation from Grenoble’s Scientific and Medical University.

Kevin O’Dwyer has been appointed
regional sales director for Northern Europe.

In this new role, O’Dwyer will have responsibility for the company’s
sales in the UK, Ireland, the Nordic countries, the Netherlands, South
Africa and a number of other territories. Prior to taking up his new
role, O’Dwyer was responsible for Seagate’s consumer electronics
business in EMEA. Based in Seagate’s Marlow, England, office, he will
report to Jeff Loebakka, Seagate’s senior vice president and managing
director, sales and marketing operations, EMEA.

Kevin O’Dwyer was born in Ireland and has lived and worked in Ireland,
UK and the USA. He holds a BEng Degree in electronic engineering from
University of Limerick, Ireland, and an MBA from Edinburgh University
Management School, Scotland.

Kevin joined Seagate in 1996 from Conner Peripherals where he had
worked since 1994. He has held positions in OEM and Distribution sales,
and organization development. Prior to moving to his current role,
Kevin was director of EMEA consumer electronics sales, responsible for
managing Seagate’s growth in new market segments such as PVR, STB,
Hand-Held and other CE applications.

In these roles, Kevin has been actively involved with large corporate
accounts as well as Seagate’s distribution channel. Including positions
held with other companies prior to Seagate, Kevin has almost 20 years
experience in the computer storage industry.

Bernd Breinbauer has been appointed regional sales director for Central Europe. Breinbauer also becomes head of the company’s Munich office.

In this new role, Breinbauer will have responsibility for the company’s sales in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Prior to taking up his new role, Breinbauer was responsible for Seagate’s Automotive Business Development activities. He will report directly to Jeff Loebakka, Seagate’s senior vice president and managing director, sales and marketing operations, for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Seagate’s reorganization of its EMEA sales structure, moving away from a sales force organized by market segments to one based on geography, is designed to further improve how the company executes in the region.

Bernd Breinbauer was born in Germany and has lived and worked in Germany and Switzerland. Bernd joined Seagate in 1989 from Hitachi (Nissei Sangyo) where he was responsible for the European OEM business for heavy duty printing systems. Prior to Hitachi, Bernd was responsible for distribution sales and product management selling digital equipment at DEC’s largest distributor, CES. In Seagate, he has held positions in OEM sales. Prior to moving to his current role, he led Seagate’s Automotive Business Development activities working with all major European automotive OEMs. Including positions held with other companies prior to Seagate, Bernd has 21 years experience in the computer industry.
