RELDATA Compatible With Cybernetics
To connect iSCSI and NAS to VTLs
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 2, 2008 at 2:52 pmRELDATA announced that its iSCSI and NAS storage solutions have been verified compatible with the Cybernetics family of disk and virtual tape library (VTL) products. The compatibility testing ensures complete interoperability for customers looking to leverage their disk-based storage products into a single, seamless virtual storage pool.
“By verifying compatibility with leading disk vendors, like Cybernetics, we are assuring customers that their existing disk investment is protected as they deploy consolidated storage solutions that deliver unified iSCSI SAN, NAS and WAN replication functions from a single virtualized storage platform,” said Oleg Neverovitch, Director Technical Support, RELDATA. “By delivering open storage solutions with no vendor lock in, customers with increasing storage costs can maximize their return on investment in past and future storage purchases.”
RELDATA works closely with industry-leading technology companies to verify interoperability with partner products either in the test labs of the technology partners and/or in the RELDATA test center. The companies successfully tested Cybernetics SCSI-based disk and VTL storage products with RELDATA’s 9240 Unified Storage Gateway and Unified Storage System.
“This certification provides our customers with peace of mind in knowing that they can continue to use their existing disk solutions within a larger virtualized network without encountering performance issues or other compatibility concerns that would otherwise preclude them from leveraging their current hardware investment,” said Melissa Chamberlain of Cybernetics. “RELDATA’s ‘single pane of glass’ management, Adaptive Storage Wizards and RELbots all work well with Cybernetics product to deliver an easy to manage, flexible storage system.”
RELDATA certifies compatibility with products in categories such as disk storage, virtual tape libraries (VTL), switches, iSCSI software and hardware, backup software, tape libraries and server virtualization software.
