Technologies, a developer of communication
platforms and systems, announced the immediate availability of
the AMC590, the company’s newest family member of AdvancedMC
products. The single, mid-size module features AMD’s latest,
high-performance graphics processor for the embedded market, the ATI
Radeon E2400, and can be configured with either a SATA or SAS-based
hard drive.
Using the AMC590,
with its highly compact form factor and standards-based, hot-swappable,
and NEBS-compliant capabilities, product engineers can build graphics
and/or storage subsystems into their product applications. The ATI
Radeon E2400 delivers exceptional 2D, 3D, and multimedia graphics with
128 MB of internal GDDR3 memory and comes equipped with dual-display
support, integrated audio, and PCI Express interface. The company’s full
line of industry leading, embedded hardware and Linux software (NexusWare) solutions are ideal for product development environments such as telecommunications, aerospace and defense, and commercial.
"The AMC590
makes an excellent choice for MicroTCA or ATCA applications where
graphic-intensive or storage-intensive capabilities are required," said
Tony Romero, product manager for Performance Technologies. "Product
options include video and storage, storage-only, or video-only."
"We’re pleased to have the ATI Radeon E2400 incorporated into
Performance Technologies’ new AMC offering," said Richard Jaenicke,
director of embedded graphics for AMD. "The on-chip graphics memory and
low power of the ATI Radeon E2400 enables high-performance graphics
solutions in a small form factor, such as the AMC590 from Performance Technologies."
