COPAN Teams With COMPAREX

To bring MAID in the Benelux

COPAN Systems announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with COMPAREX a leading independent storage specialist in the Benelux region. COMPAREX is COPAN Systems’ exclusive partner in Belgium and Luxembourg and was selected to deliver COPAN Systems’ enterprise-class Enterprise MAID (Massive Array of Idle Disks) to customers in the local market and increase COPAN Systems’ market presence in EMEA.

Enterprises are observing an explosion in data and are subsequently facing issues of management and storage. More than 75 per cent of all data in most data centers falls into the category of persistent data – by definition, that’s long-term data which is recorded or aged to a point that it is unlikely to change or be modified, but must be retained. That data demands specific storage requirements such as reliability, longevity, scalability, power efficiency and a small storage footprint. COPAN Systems’ partnership with COMPAREX addresses these needs by providing customers with an MAID (Massive Array Idle Disks) solution to solve the problem.

The enterprise space has experienced exponential growth in the past few months,” says Rod Evans, EMEA Vice President Channels, COPAN Systems. “The logical next step for us was to have dedicated partners in key EMEA territories. As such, it was imperative that the company we partnered with has a strong track record in this sector who understands the complex storage arena. We’re delighted to be working with COMPAREX to bring MAID technology to the Benelux region. COMPAREX’s proven track record in the enterprise space showed us that they understand the pain points that our existing enterprise customers are approaching us with.

COPAN Systems and COMPAREX create a perfect partnership that enables customers to manage persistent data more efficiently,” continues Lieven De Smedt, CEO, COMPAREX Belgium.
