Record Year for APTARE
Doubling the size of its customer base
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on March 10, 2008 at 3:07 pmAPTARE,
Inc., a provider of Web 2.0-based storage reporting and
management software (SRM), experienced another record year as the demand
for next-generation storage reporting tools continued to rise. In 2007,
APTARE hit record growth in the areas of revenue, customer and partner
base, and personnel, receiving industry accolades for its achievements.
APTARE had an exceptional year with 100 percent revenue growth in 2007. The
company’s banner year was fueled by the successful customer adoption of its
new APTARE
StorageConsole Capacity Manager product, part of the company’s Web 2.0
APTARE StorageConsole
6.5 platform.
The company doubled the size of its customer base with a 95% annual support
renewal retention rate among Fortune 500 and mid-sized enterprises in
vertical markets, including finance, healthcare, education, government and
energy. APTARE also expanded its Reseller Alliance Program to include
several new partnerships with companies like FusionStorm, a San
Francisco-based technology solutions provider.
According to Bob Laliberte of Enterprise Strategy Group, as data centers
adopt technologies like thin provisioning and virtualization management,
complexity increases. He continues, "The core of an effective storage
management strategy is the ability to provide centralized visibility into
the storage environment. Companies need to deploy real-time reporting
software, such as APTARE’s StorageConsole platform, that provide an
end-to-end view that includes data protection and SAN storage — from the
storage arrays, hosts, and applications. These capabilities enable
organizations to increase their storage utilization and defer large capital
expenses for as much as a year or more. This delayed purchase can result in
incremental savings of over 30% per year."
"2007 was a great year for APTARE as we responded to customers’ requests to
extend our Web 2.0-based reporting beyond data protection to include
capacity reporting for the SAN environment. Our launch of APTARE
StorageConsole Capacity Manager was extremely well received," said Richard
Clark, president and CEO, APTARE. "In 2008, we will continue to extend the
APTARE StorageConsole reporting and management platform with new reporting
and management products for additional areas of the enterprise storage
environment."
To address the growth over the past year and to execute on the company’s
vision in 2008 and beyond, APTARE doubled its employee count and appointed
Nick Blozan, a 20-year high-tech industry veteran, as the vice president of
worldwide sales. Nick has been chartered to direct the global sales
strategy, including channel and VAR partnerships.
